As I was sitting at the computer searching for recipes to satisfy my craving for intensely flavored food I exclaimed that I was thankful for AllRecipes.com – hence this entry. While I plan most meals around what is already in my cookbooks to keep things simpler, every now and then I take some time to find some new, mostly ethnic foods to spice things up a bit. I have a new found love for Indian food and you can’t find an authentic recipe in Betty Crocker’s cookbook. If you haven’t ventured on allrecipes I highly suggest it, but be warned that you could spend many hours there. You can search for any kind of recipe. Regular people submit recipes and then others rate and review them so you have a pretty good idea if the recipe if worth trying or not. For example, you type “carrot cake” in the search box, press enter, and 1,000 carrot cake recipes pop up. Some may be given two stars, others five, so you narrow your choice down by the rating and user’s comments. For me, this week we will be having orange chicken stir-fry, Indian tomato chicken and Japanese style sesame green beans, all found on allrecipes. Yum! There are other websites like this out there but I find this one to be the easiest to use and most simple and attractive.
